Checked or replaced the HPFP cam follower recently?
Fuel filter change every two years?
You should hear the a faint pump noise for a couple of seconds then stop when the drivers door is used.
It will also prime on the key just prior to holding for ignition.
235/45/17 Continental Premium Contact 7 Tyre Pressure

Just wanted to share my experience.
Had new tyres fitted recently. The ride the Continental gave was harsh and crashy at the recommended factory psi settings.
Was running 35 all round on Michelin PS4. Experimented with 39/35. 37/35, 35/32, 34/32 & finally 32/30.
With the Continental finally settled on 32 psi up front and 30 psi on the back. Handli
Things to look out for when buying?

Got a 1T2 Touran which (other than the engine) is constantly giving me problems so I'#039m gon a bite the bullet and sort a replacement and since my lad got a 1.4 for his first car I quite fancy a GTi for myself so after a few pointers of problem areas to look out for.
Seen one relatively local, 04 just shy of 80k for £5000. Not done a proper history check on it yet but MOT

Finally getting round to working on my pride and joy. 2007 Car with the wrong canbus = battery drain, which i simply took a chance on an ebay adapter. Which worked a treat no more battery drain and even gives me radio controls via stalk(Well changing stations) here is the ebay link = https://ebay.us/m/EEBr6u Prior to the canbus conundrum.. Was using the scar

I used Trim Fix High Temp. It is an aerosol, but was what Martrim recommended. Mess wise, it'#039s fairly controllable, I did use 2 wallpaper pasting tables covered in some old curtains to catch the over spray. Your point about gaps could be valid, by and large it'#039s not been a problem, but the bits where you have to stretch the material i.e. round the horn, in the grab handle resess

Hey,
I need to replace both front lower arms on the golf.. I used to have a way through work to get parts via TPS but no longer do.
Where do most people get parts from? I’ve also used AUTODOC

In some ways that'#039s a good thing. It could be any part of the interior light circuit that causes the fuse to blow, but if the lights works for a minute or 2 and then they stop/the fuse blows, it would i think suggest that it could well be related to a bulb i.e. if there was a short circuit in a component, you'#039d expect the fuse to fail as soon as the short circuit was made e.g. sw

Tried to fit these inserts (that belong in a MK6 Golf, since ones for MK5 are very hard to come by) and had no luck. Foam parts are too big, but according to the part numbers (same as mentioned in this thread) it should fit.
And also seems that there are many options with the inner outline of its cubbies etc
Any ideas on why it does not fit? 3door MK5 GTI

Swapped in a Gen3 steering rack with all the fancy new bolts to finally! Stop the car from having a knocking noise over bumps at slow speeds and to hopefully resolve an inch of free play in the steering wheel.

These are gen3 post 2007 modules that support power folding, underlights, reverse dip and mirror tinting. I tried fitting them to my pre 2007 car and while I could connect VCDS onto them, it wasnt working very well. They worked fine in my post 2007 car tho.
Also dont be fooled by "quotOh these modules are from a 2 door car so they wont work on a 4 door"quot. You can literally

My son just picked up his first car, 2005 1.4S and as an S it is absolutely rock bottom standard with no options added. The first thing he obviously wants is to sort some music out so need to swap out the boggo head unit. I have a Touran so know how much of a ballache VW make it for us so cam someone give me a straight list (in terms of connectors) of what he will need to

Check hoses, connections and so on. Diesels can run on ambient pressure if needed but if they are designed to be boosted, they make no power without pressure. Maybe you are lucky and you've only split a hose or blown a connection somewhere.
